The Sick Surprise is a secondary weapon for the Demolisher class in Blitz Brigade. It is a grenade launcher that shoots proximity mines, and is currently the third most devastating secondary weapon, but is available at an unusually low price for purchasing and upgrading. In terms of performance, it is an excellent utility weapon for sealing passages or (unfortunately) spawn camping, as the mines do not detonate unless an enemy is near. The damage dealt by a single mine is good, but when an enemy encounters multiple mines laid down, their health will be deducted by a lot. The rate of fire, while nothing spectacular, is good enough, and this can also be said about the range and its ammo capacity. The critical chance is about average as well. Overall, the low purchase and upgrade price make this weapon a very common sight on the battlefield, and for good reason, too. It is based off of the Milkor MGL or the RPG-40.
Other facts: Edit
- You are only allowed to have three undetonated projectiles at once; if you shoot another, it detonates a previous mine. Before the updates that have balanced the Sick Surprise, this limit used to be five.
- The Sick Surprise is very useful when trying to loose a tail, as you can leave C4 on the inside of doorways, and can often kill the tail, if not injuring and alerting you to their exact location.
- If an enemy has a Sick Surprise, it is highly recommended to try and scout out any mines by listening for their beeping noise.
